This is simply too awesome to ignore. HurtyElbow.com discovered some old screen shots from Eric Stoltz's failed three weeks as Marty McFly in the original Back to the Future.
Pop-culture legend holds that Stoltz originally won the role but took it way too seriously. Upon returning to Marty's changed-for-the-better present, Stoltz supposedly said the movie was a tragedy – or some such nonsense.
More after the jump!
In any event, he got replaced by TV star Michael J. Fox, who understood the light touch needed for the script and delivered one of the great action-comedy performances of the 80s.
One point twenty-one gigwatts?!
