It’s been a long time since I saw the original Prom Night, which starred Jamie Lee Curtis at the height of her scream-queen days. It’s been remade, of course, with a hip new cast.

More after the jump!

The trailer is available over at UGO, and it looks reasonably OK. I like the confined setting in the hotel. It’s got a police procedural subplot. And I like how there aren’t any hints of gross-out kills in the trailer – maybe this will just be a straight-up thriller.

The cat includes Johnathon Schaech, Scott Porter (Jason Street from Friday Night Lights), Brittany Snow and Jessica Stroup.

For posterity, here’s the trailer for the original 1980 Prom Night!
