AICN is reporting that 27-year-old Channing Tatum will play Duke in Stephen Sommers' upcoming movie G.I. Joe.

Tatum's credits include Step Up, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and She's The Man. He'll get his first crack at playing a soldier onscreen in Kimberly Peirce's Stop Loss.

I guess I imagined Duke being a lot older – someone like Mark Wahlberg, maybe.

But this ain't Shakespeare we're talking about.
