Christopher Eccleston Adds Major Geek Cred to G.I. Joe Cast as Destro

Former Doctor Who and Heroes star Christopher Eccleston has replaced David Murray as Destro in Stephen Sommers’ upcoming movie G.I. Joe.
I’m still not sure why they’re casting Brits in this role instead of, say, Michael Clarke Duncan, but it’s their movie. Eccleston’s great under any circumstances, including his crackerjack work in Doctor Who.
But you know what movie I’d still like to see? A Star Wars prequel that featured Eccleston as a young Grand Moff Tarkin. I remember hearing rumors he had been cast – hell, I even remember seeing him in make-up – but we all know what became of Revenge of the Sith (and Tarkin’s role in it).
