Edie Falco will continue her move from drama to comedy in a new series on Showtime.

She’ll play a New York nurse who struggles with the difficult balancing act between work and a personal life.

Nice! I thought Falco made a winning comic actress on 30 Rock, and I’m glad to see her heading up her own series on the increasingly excellent Showtime.

Linda Wallem of That 70s Show fame wrote the pilot, which remains untitled.
