While Marvel Studios has already started production of Kenneth Branagh's Thor and Joe Johnston has opened his mouth about the plot of The First Avenger: Captain America movie this past weekend, a giant bombshell of information has been dropped today, Marvel is gearing up for yet another superhero movie: Antman! Yes, everyone's favorite D-lister is getting his own movie.
A movie about Dr. Hank Pym, who is a charter member of the Avengers, has been floating around since San Diego Comic Con 2006 ie: when Jon Favreau and Louis Letterier were talking about Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk , director Edgar Wright announced that Antman would be his next project. Edgar Wright is best known for his film Shaun of the Dead and his upcoming comic book flick Scott Pilgrim vs The World. When the Disney/Marvel merger happened, there were rumors that Pixar would be taking over the project, however John Lasseter denied the rumors. So, what happened to Antman? Well, in a surprise nobody saw coming, Stan Lee announced to the web that the littlest superhero is going to blow up on the big screen soon.

So there you have it, Antman: The Movie! Which I can see as Spider-Man crossed with Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Though I'm not going to lie, Iron Fist: The Movie sounds like a better flick to me, especially if they use an Ed Brubaker plot.
