On March 11, the war began.
Tensions between the IMC and the Frontier Militia reached a boiling point, leaving only one possible option: total global conflict. Armed with state-of-the-art Titans, and aided by robotic soldiers and air-support, these two armies set about to stake their claim for the blood-soaked ground.
And it was awesome.
The next generation of consoles arrived with little fanfare. Cross-generational releases, such as Assassins’s Creed 4 and Sports Franchise 2014, left most gamers less-than stoked about the future of the industry. Even with sales of the PS4 and XBox One reaching toward the 5 million mark, there is still a lot of debate over the actual “next-gen” nature of these systems.
Well all of that is about to change.
Titanfall, the XBox-exclusive tital from Respawn Entertainment, is set to become the killer app for the Microsoft system. And judging from early numbers, it is on the right path.
As a world-class gaming journalist, I was able to sit down with an early access copy of The Art of Titanfall, a behind the scenes book given only to the most exclusive of people. I don’t want to have to toot my own horn, but I’m kind of a big deal.
Yes, my copy only arrived Friday, so I wasn’t really able to get a “preview” per se, and no, I wasn’t part of the “beta,” so I didn’t play the game much before launch, but my name is at the bottom of this article, so I can write whatever I want. [ed. note: no he cannot]
