Cage Taps Out, Rourke Tags in for The Wrestler

It was previously reported that Nicolas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas, The Rock, National Treasure) was set to star in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler, as a past-his-prime professional wrestler trying to reclaim a bit of his former glory, while shacking up with a single-mom stripper and her son.

Cage has left the project for unspecified reasons, and Mickey Rourke (Sin CIty, Man on Fire) has stepped in to replace him.
