The Coen brothers have made a return to form with their latest effort, No Country for Old Men. And even though they’ve already announced that their next project will be a thriller called Burn After Reading, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt, we can’t help but wonder, yes but what will they do after that?

A Spaghetti Western.

Yes you read that correctly. But lest you worry (and you’re not, right? I mean this is the Coen bros., after all) they promise this will be a Spaghetti Western, Coen brothers-style.

So what does a Coen brothers-style Spaghetti Western mean, exactly? Here’s what Joel Coen had to say:

”We’ve written a western with a lot of violence in it. There’s scalping and hanging … it’s good. Indians torturing people with ants, cutting their eyelids off.”

Ethan Coen added:

"It’s a proper western, a real western, set in the 1870s. It’s got a scene that no one will ever forget because of one particular chicken."

There you have it. Sounds righteous, doesn’t it? Now who wants to start a pool on what exactly is going to happen to that chicken?
