Forget Christian Bale, Josh Duhamel May Be Under the Cape and Cowl in JLA

Ever since the announcement of a JLA movie being green-lit, casting rumors have been running rampant. CC2k has been keeping up on casting calls held by George Miller, and two new names have been thrown into the mix.

For all the fans that have been clamoring for Christian Bale to reprise his kick-ass role as Batman (and who can blame them?), they might as well wish in one hand and crap in the other…I think you know the rest.

So who can they expect as the Dark Knight? IESB is reporting that Josh Duhamel (Las Vegas, Turistas, Transformers) has auditioned for an unspecified role, but they're speculating it's none other than Batman.

Bijou Phillips (Hostel: Part II) also auditioned for an unspecified role. Since she wasn't a part of an extensive casting session for Wonder Woman , my thought is she could very well have tried for Hawkgirl. She certainly looks like she could make that fit. And while I think Hawkman predated Hawkgirl, I'm just taking a wild guess here and predicting that the producers will want to add some girl power to the Justice League, you know, to get the most bang for their buck.
