Donnie Darko auteur Richard Kelly has the leads for his next project: Frank Langella, best known for his role as Skeletor in Masters of the Universe, and Cameron Diaz, best known for her role in keeping food on the table of special effects artists everywhere with her chronically ruddy complexion. They'll both star in The Box.

The movie's based on an old Richard Matheson short story, Button, Button, which if memory serves was made into an episode of the short-lived Twilight Zone reboot that aired in the 80s.

The story (or at least my recollection of the episode) follows a poor couple that meets a stranger. The stranger presents them with a box that has one button. He tells them that if they push the button, he'll give them a bunch of money, and someone, somewhere who they don't know will die. Moral conundrums ensue.

Langella's next project, though, is a film version of the play Frost/Nixon that Ron Howard's directing.
