ImageThere's some exciting news in the world of video games that felt worth sharing.

The guys at Bethesda Softworks admitted to "lessons learned" in making Fallout 3:

Don’t let the game end, and don’t have a level cap.

Two lessons that Bethesda plans to take action on with the next DLC package for Fallout 3 – "Broken Steel."  While details are still sketcy as to just what players will be doing in this new expansion, they can expect that the ending will be removed (for spoilerinsh reasons I won't get into why, but you might be able to guess) and players will be able to advance to as high as level 30.  Though lead producer Jeff Gardiner promises, "it will be a long, hard climb to get there!"

Sounds awesome!

Oh, and did I mention that Bethesda is planning to make more Fallout games, which means that it's only a matter of when, and not if, there will be a Fallout 4

I can't wait!

In other news, there's a new trailer out for Batman: Arkham Asylum, and it showcases (among other things) two big reasons why I'm very excited to get my hands on it:

Hint: It's the voice talent behind Batman and the Joker.  Hee hee!

Uh oh iPhone owners, if you were hoping to get a clone of the classic Nintendo game Duck Hunt, you're out of luck, as it has been pulled from the App Store.  Copy right infringement will do that.

Video game developers are not immune to the current economic crisis, even the giant Disney Interactive.  They've canned plans for a sequel to the dinosaur shooter Turok.
