It looks like we're headed for a confluence of twentysomething geek goodness in the guise of J.J. Abrams' upcoming Star Trek reboot and George Miller's upcoming Justice League of America.

Miller recently flew into town to audition a shitload of actors for JLA, including Adam Brody, Joseph, D.J. Cotrona, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Michael Angarano, Teresa Palmer, Max Thieriot and rapper Common. NBC's criminally under-watched Friday Night Lights had a few representatives at the tryouts, including Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki and Scott Porter.

I don't recognize a lot of these names, but I think Palicki might make a suitably strapping Wonder Woman if she dyed her hair, and Porter could conceivably make a great Clark Kent.
