“Heroes” Spinoff Murdered!

Sorry, dudes. If you're one of those guys who's living in your mom's basement, showering forty times a day, completely obsessed with Heroes (you know the type), then you should be put on 24-hour suicide watch. NBC has decided not to do a Heroes: Origins mini-series.

NBC has decided not to go ahead with the planned six-episode cycle, which was going to air during next year while Heroes was on hiatus. Reasons cited include strike jitters,  a disappointing (both critically and ratings-wise) second season, and some dude's pathetic blog about how hot the cheerleader on the show is that totally bummed NBC/ Universal co-chair Ben Silverman out. Guess you're never going to learn about the formative teenage years of that Japanese dude with the sword.
