The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Michelle Pfeiffer is set to appear in an upcoming remake of Grease, perhaps as the school principal. This is hilarious for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is how much Pfeiffer hates having the lesser-known sequel Grease 2 on her resume.

"I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was," she said. "At the time I was young and didn't know any better. I hear it's a cult movie now."

You're goddamn right it's a cult classic! And you can read some more embarrassing confessions from me after the jump!

Far from being a mere cult classic, Grease 2 is a paragon of radicalness. To wit:

• It's got a song about fucking called "Reproduction" that has the lyric, "Make my stamen go berserk."

Hey, I plumb forgot about the mighty YouTube! Here it is!

• It's got Adrian Zmed. I don't think he's all that awesome, but c'mon – his last name's Zmed.

• It's got Pfeiffer herself singing a loopy rock anthem called "Cool Rider." There is precisely zero percent wrong with this movie.

Pfeiffer also told The Daily Telegraph that she heard that Jessica Simpson has been cast as Sandy in the upcoming remake. I guess that would keep with the pattern of casting thirtysomethings to play high-schoolers in the Grease movies.

Olivia Newton-John's hotter, though.
