RIP Michael Turner, 1971-2008

Sadly, the world of comics lost a true talent over the weekend. Renowned American comic book artist Michael Turner passed away, losing his battle with bone cancer.

In recent years, Turner had focused more on cover art for both major companies, DC and Marvel, whose work was featured on a large variety of books, both as the regular and variant covers.

His work for smaller publishers was a success as well, including initial work for Top Cow, and Turner even founded his own company in Aspen Comics.

His distinctive style and iconic takes on characters will be sorely missed. He was 37.
