Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, who made a little Oscar magic with The Aviator and The Departed, will be reteaming for what could very well be another Award winning film.

Dennis Lehane's Mystic River was lauded with nominations and awards, and the latest adaptation of one of his novels, Gone Baby Gone, could follow suit.

Now Variety reports that Scorsese and Dicaprio are teaming up again for the adaptation of Lehane's "Shutter Island".  The novel is a drama set in 1954, and it follows a U.S. Marshall on his hunt for a murderess that has escaped from an institution for the criminally insane.

Scorsese will (obviously) direct, and DiCaprio is set to star in the role of the Marshall.  Production on the film looks set to begin next March.
