The Art of the Creed

Written by: Adam "ManKorn" Korenman, CC2K Video Games Editor

Everything is Permitted. Nothing is Forbidden.

Thus begins the Assassin’s Creed, a lengthy and somewhat misleading philosophy built into the epic video game series: Assassin’s Creed. While I could spend a few articles worth of time describing the irony of serial-murder-for-peace, I will instead focus on another area. The phenomenal artwork and design.

Say what you will about the direction the series has gone, or about Ubisoft’s slow descent into EA-style madness, but AC remains one of the biggest and best franchises to date. And a lot of that power comes from the intricate design and impeccable artwork put into the creation of these action-adventure epics.

I was honored to be asked to write for the fine people over at Blastoff Comics to look at a recent art book from the game. If you are a fan of DVD extras, or just love to learn more about the gaming industries artisans, check it out at the link below!
