This morning we have the sad news that Don LaFontaine, famous for the many movie trailers he narrated, has died. On a much lighter note we also have the latest trailer for Max Payne, new images from Quantum of Solace, and more.
Movie trailer voiceover extraordinaire Don LaFontaine has died at the age of 68. Reports are that LaFontaine died from complications stemming from a collapsed lung. He has stated in interviews that his favorite work was for David Lynch's The Elephant Man. Let's take a look back, in honor of LaFontaine:

If you care, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (the TV series) will premiere on Cartoon Network Friday, October 3rd at 9 PM ET. Though I can tell you now this is probably going to suck as much as the movie.
Despite rumors linking Russell Crowe to the role of Watson to Guy Ritchie's take on Sherlock Holmes, the word from Ritchie himself is, "I don’t have a Watson…Somebody just told me that I have Russell Crowe lined up but that’s news to me. I suspect that hasn’t happened and I’m still looking for my Watson."

Comic writer Mark Millar spoke with G4TV some more about his pitch for a Superman reboot, saying:
"I've had this plan for like 10 years for a big three-picture Superman thing, like a Lord of the Rings epic, starting over from scratch again with a seven-hour Superman story. One to be released each year."
Vadim Perelman is in talks to occupy the director's chair for MGM's planned remake of Poltergeist. Wow, they really are remaking every movie ever made, aren't they?
In gaming news, the highly anticipated Blizzard game Star Craft II will be delayed until 2009. While the game developer never set a firm release date in 2008, several retailers had been listing its release as December 8 of this year.
