This morning we have a link to the first official review of The Dark Knight, posters for The Day the Earth Stood Still and Righteous Kill, the trailer for Guy Richie's next film, RocknRolla, the latest episode of the marketing gimmick Gotham Tonight, Del Toro's thoughts on directing The Hobbit, and more!
The first official review of The Dark Knight is in courtesy of Rolling Stone. Here's just the opening:
Heads up: a thunderbolt is about to rip into the blanket of bland we call summer movies. The Dark Knight, director Christopher Nolan's absolute stunner of a follow-up to 2005's Batman Begins, is a potent provocation decked out as a comic-book movie. Feverish action? Check. Dazzling spectacle? Check. Devilish fun? Check. But Nolan is just warming up.
Speaking of, IESB first posted the latest episode of Gotham Tonight, yet more interesting marketing tactics for The Dark Knight, and you can watch it below!

Guillermo Del Toro talked about his upcoming adaptation of The Hobbit. Among other things, he had this to say,
"I'm not trying to honor either my style or what I'm gravitating normally towards," del Toro said. "I know that for a fact I gravitated towards the novel. So there's something there that echoes with me very strongly, which is not the case with most fantasy, in my case."
There’s a new poster for the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still starring Keanu Reeves:
LatinoReview has a script review of Roland Emmerich's 2012. One tasty morsel:
"This is an almost completely by-the-numbers disaster movie, featuring all the requisite dubious science, silly and implausible set-pieces, narrative clichés, broad, one-dimensional characters, and heavy handed attempts at emotion and morals that one would expect from the genre…"
