Will You Get to Assume the Mantle of Doctor Who?

The answer appears to be a solid ‘maybe’.  The long-running and hugely popular BBC show, Doctor Who does seem to be venturing from its home on TV to a video game store near you.

Game developer Eidos Interactive has reportedly begun work on adapting the series, and has already obtained rights from BBC.

But before you geek out over the possibility of being a Time Lord (I’ve never seen the show but even I know that sounds cool) the developer of popular series such as Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Thief is reportedly going to make their adaptation available for PC, the PS2, and Nintendo DS.

Wait a tic! What about the PS3 or Xbox 360?!? Are gamers on these next-gen systems to be left out in the cold?
