Zenescope Teams with Pat Croce

Written by: Joey Esposito, Special to CC2K

ImageZenescope Entertainment announced today a pirate themed comic book series, No Quarter, co-written by Pat Croce and Adam Slutsky, with art by Mark Sparacio (Jonah Hex). Says Zenescope Vice President Ralph Tedesco, the book is a "hardcore and gritty pirate series unlike anything seen before.”

Zenescope's announcement let us know that Croce is actually a pirate expert (who knew!) and has previously opened The Pirate Soul museum in Key West, Florida. No Quarter "follows Charlie Drake, a young man who finds that his bloodline is anything but ordinary then sets out to find a new life and in the process becomes a legend," says Zenescope.

Those attending the New York Comic Con next month will be treated to a special preview issue, featuring the creative team as well as a cover by Joe Benitez (The Darkness). Following this preview issue, the series will begin it's twelve issue run in May. Zenescope also promoted a contest that will be debuting in the series for fans to win a trip to Key West; presumably for a visit to the awesome pirate museum.
