Trillium #1 (Vertigo)
by Jeff Lemire (Writer/Illustrator)

Trillium is a 10-issue series that follows two characters separated by thousands of years and hundreds of millions of miles. In the year 3797, scientist Nika Temsmith is researching a species of strange life forms on a remote science station near the outermost rim of colonized space. In the year 1921, a war-scarred explorer named William Pike leads an expedition into the dense jungles of Peru in search of the “Lost Temple of The Incas”, which is rumored to hold healing properties. Somehow, the two cross paths, fall in love, and bring about the end of the universe. Lemire states this isn’t just a love story. It’s the last love story ever told. Trillium launches in August.
